Construction work on the new playgrounds has started.

The old skate park will be replaced by a new adventure playground for young people. On the grassy area alongside will be play ground equipment for smaller children. Work is expected to take a few weeks and everything should be ready during the spring.

The project is jointly funded by Scarborough Borough Council, the Big Lotttery Fund and Marks and Spencers. M & S staff will also work with the Friends of Royal Albert Park to plant the surrounding area with fragrant native roses.
