The Friends of Royal Albert Park (FoRAP) organisation has been in existence since May 2005. Prior to 2005, a group of interested local people, councillors and council officers had been meeting regularly for two years. An outline plan for the area was drawn up and an extensive public consultation was organised. The outcome of the consultation was the formation of FoRAP and the drawing up of a revised development scheme for the area.

This website is taking part in a the Digital Scarborough 2008 Code-athon and will be undergoing many changes today.
