The Friends of Royal Albert Park (FoRAP) organisation has been in existence since May 2005. Prior to 2005, a group of interested local people, councillors and council officers had been meeting regularly for two years. An outline plan for the area was drawn up and an extensive public consultation was organised. The outcome of the consultation was the formation of FoRAP and the drawing up of a revised development scheme for the area.
This year the AGM will be held on Saturday 26th November at 10.00 am in the Indoor Bowls Centre. All old and new members will be very welcome to attend. The main item of business will be a presentation of the development plans for the shelters near the outdoor bowling green. The committee would appreciate your comments on the project.
